Introduction
The Great Depression was the worst economic collapse to date in our nation’s history. In 1932 Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected president, relieving Herbert Hoover, who had been criticized heavily for how he handled the crisis. FDR introduced his ‘New Deal’ for America and rapidly took governmental control of our free market economy with a variety of programs. These programs were so plentiful and became known by their acronyms, and are thus commonly referred to as FDR’s ‘Alphabet Soup’.
Your Task
Create a keynote slideshow presentation that highlights and explains the ‘New Deal’ president Roosevelt implemented to provide RELIEF, RECOVERY, and REFORM during The Great Depression.
